ESPECTADOR - LUZ
Acción lumínica para un espacio teatral. Espectador- Luz responde a las circunstancias de la Emergencia Cultural de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. A partir de esta obra, buscamos visibilizar mediante la luz la soledad de la platea por la falta de espectadores y de espectáculos a los que asistir.
Luminic action to a theatrical space. Spectator-Luz responds to the circumstances of the Cultural Emergency of the City of Buenos Aires. From this work, we seek to make visible through light the loneliness of the stalls due to the lack of spectators and shows to attend.
A partir de la intervención lumínica de los teatros La Gloria Espacio Teatral, El Excéntrico de la 18° y en el Teatro Anfitrión, quisimos poner en evidencia los nuevos protocolos aprobados por organismos estatales, resaltando la propuesta de limitar el aforo máximo a un 30% de la capacidad del espacio y mantener el distanciamiento social entre espectadores. Esta situación no contempla las necesidades técnicas y espaciales de teatros de pequeña y mediana escala.
Based on the light intervention of the theaters' La Gloria Espacio Teatral, El Excéntrico de la 18 ° and in the Teatro Anfitrion, we wanted to highlight the new protocols approved by state agencies, highlighting the proposal to limit the capacity to 30% of the capacity of space and maintain social distancing between viewers. This situation does not consider the technical and spatial needs of small and medium-scale theaters.
A partir de esta propuesta inicial, empezamos a construir Espectador - Luz. Sin embargo, una vez que volvimos a habitar esos espacios teatrales que hasta principio de año consideramos nuestro segundo hogar, nos invadió una sobrecogedora sensación de melancolía. Nos encontramos de repente con espacios abandonados, preparados para un día de trabajo que nunca llegó; papeles, herramientas, filtros y artefactos que dejamos preparados para “dar sala”.
El montaje de la obra nos permitió volver a ver a otros técnicos y disfrutar del trabajo entre colegas. Nos llevó a preguntarnos, con un poco de miedo, qué pasó con todos los proyectos que quedaron varados en marzo.
From this initial proposal, we began to build Espectador - Luz. However, once we returned to inhabit those theatrical spaces that until the beginning of the year, we considered our second home, an overwhelming sense of melancholy invaded us. We suddenly find ourselves with abandoned spaces, prepared for a workday that never came; papers, tools, filters, and artifacts that we leave ready to start the show.
The staging of the work allowed us to hang with fellow technicians and enjoy the work among colleagues. It led us to wonder, with a little fear, what happened to all the projects that were canceled in March.
