Founder Lighting Designer - Barcelona
Sophya Acosta is a PhD student in Arts and Techno-Aesthetics specializing in Light Art from the Tres de Febrero University and a Graduate in Stage Lighting Design from the National University of the Arts of Argentina.
As a Lighting Designer, Sophya worked in America and Europe. She has collaborated with global companies such as Cirque du Soleil and more recently Olympic Broadcasting Services, a company recognized worldwide for the official broadcast of the Olympic Games. Her Light Art Installations have been part of events such as La Noche de Los Museos (Bs As), La Nit dels Museus (BCN), and museums and galleries in Argentina and Spain.
In 2022, Sophya received the prestigious 40 under 40 award for her contribution to the lighting design industry. She is also a member of ADEA, APDI, IALD, ASAEDE, AAI, and collaborates with Women in Lighting.
Associate Lighting Designer - Buenos Aires
Luciana Suppicich is an internationally recognized lighting designer with a distinguished career in the performing arts. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Lighting Design for Performing Arts from the National University of the Arts and an Advanced Technician Degree in Occupational Health and Safety from the Higher Technical Training Institute No. 26 of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires.
Since 2007, she has established herself as a leading figure in lighting design for theater, dance, musical theater, performative events, and light art. In addition to her artistic contributions, she has served as Technical Director of El Excéntrico de la 18° theater in Buenos Aires since 2012. In 2022, she joined the technical team of AREA 623 Arte en Acción Theater.
Luciana is also a dedicated educator, having served as an instructor for the Diploma in Electrical Installations for the Arts at the Craft Training Center of the National University of the Arts and Light.Lab. She has delivered masterclasses across Argentina and Europe.
Throughout her career, she has been committed to integrating the creative and technical dimensions of lighting design. This interdisciplinary approach has led her to contribute to a wide range of projects as a technical producer, technical coordinator, educator, documentation specialist, speaker, and writer.
